heartbreak house

by George Bernard Shaw
Directed by Lee Abraham

February 2003

This production was mounted as a good old fashioned period piece with modern lessons. Emphasis was placed on making it a realistic representation of 1914 and the different classes of people who come together. The costume's played an important role in setting up the audience's expectations of each character and then allowing them to later realize each character was not the same underneath compared to what they first presented themselves to be.
